Pinellas County marks its sidewalk project on 46th Avenue North, between 49th and 37th streets, as complete. The project page was last updated July 27, 2026.
Public Works says the roughly one-mile project added sidewalks, curb ramps and drainage improvements. The north side of the residential corridor previously lacked a sidewalk, according to the county.
The county’s stated goal was to make it safer to reach local parks, businesses on 49th Street and the future Joe’s Creek Trail. Its record lists federal funding and Penny for Pinellas among the sources paying for the work.

Residents reporting a blocked path, drainage problem or damaged ramp should identify the nearest intersection and project 002131A. Work west of 49th Street is a separate project.
The completion status is the county’s account. The Ledger has not inspected the finished corridor. The project page lists Scott Baird as project manager and gives his contact details for follow-up.
