The owners say county permitting bureaucracy has kept their plumbing business from opening at 49th Street and 62nd Avenue. The county says it is working with their engineer.
The project covers 49th to 37th streets. Public Works says it added sidewalks, curb ramps and drainage improvements along the residential corridor.
The park’s February opening followed years of planning. Its address is now 4300 Duval Park Boulevard.
Owners must put up matching money, and the county reimburses approved expenses later. Projects already underway are ineligible.
The county’s transportation plan identifies possible safety improvements. Residents can check whether a project has funding and a construction date.
